September 25-27 - Quality Expo, Rosemont, IL
Helmel will be exhibiting at the Quality Expo in
Rosemont (Chicago) IL, September 25-27, 2007. Held
every two years in Chicago, this is the largest
exhibition in North America of inspection and
measurement instruments, devices, and software used
in the quality and reverse engineering fields. For
the first time the Quality Expo will be held in
conjunction with four other shows: Assembly
Technology, Electronics Assembly, National
Manufacturing Week, and Plastec. This insures that
there will be many hundreds of exhibitors (300 in
Quality alone), and tens of thousands of visitors to
these shows.
Helmel will be demonstrating several of our CMM
systems at the show, including the new
Microgage, the
Checkmaster, both sizes of the
Phoenix,
and a
Microstar with
UCC2 control and the
SP25 continuous scanning probe system. These are
hands-on demos, so we hope to see you there - and
bring parts to play with!

automatic upgrade every six month, June and December.
Minor changes are posted on the web site and can be
downloaded and installed on demand. That is a benefit of
maintaining your SSC. To obtain additional information

Radial Point Measurement
"A circle is a circle, let's just use the circle
routine to measure that large radius".
Unfortunately that is too often the norm. Measuring
large, and even small radius features often leads to
unreliable results that compromises your entire
inspection. Understanding the strengths of your CMM and
metrology software will enable you to choose the correct
measuring routine for any feature measurement.
The Radial Point routine is one of the most often
over-looked tools in your metrology software. The Radial
Point will deliver the results you expect on large or
limited radius features. To see the tutorial for this
feature,
