Used Helmel CMMs!

Checkmaster SMM If you have visited Helmel.com recently, you may have notice that we are listing a few rebuilt Helmel CMMs for sale. Find then under the “Products” or "CMMs" menu. Occasionally a machine comes on the market, or we can serve an existing customer with an exchange. If it makes sense we will re-acquire an older Helmel CMM for rebuild.

The granite is refinished as much as practical, ways are reground and bearings are replaced. Generally scales, reading heads, and probe systems are new. All electronics and controllers are brought up to current standards, and the latest Geomet software and new PCs are installed. Often the drive systems are upgraded. Machines are repainted, reassembled, and calibrated to original specifications, then warranted for one year.

A Helmel CMM rebuilt by us is as good as a new machine, yet the basic CMM is typically priced about 30% less than list. If you are thinking about another CMM, do not hesitate to consider one of our “rebuilts”. You won’t be disappointed.

Quality 2007 wrap-up!

Sept. 25-27 found us at the Rosemont Center, Rosemont, Illinois demonstrating our products to potential customers.

This year was even better than 2005 with more attendees and more inquiries.

Datum Bonus Tolerance

Not all origins are alike. Some are a fixed XYZ position that anchor the Datum Frame Reference (DFR) and some allow the DFR to move about in a free state to allow functionality in assemblies. Geomet has been providing access to Datum Bonus for years, to see how, click here.
