Getting Back to CMM Basics

Art Whistler, Sales Manager for Helmel Engineering, published an article on Getting Back to CMM Basics in the November 2007 issue of Manufacturing Engineering. Here is an excerpt:

If you make a product, it's reasonable to assume that you constantly strive to improve the quality of your product. What do you do first? Instinctively, you review designs for improvements, seek better materials, optimize processes and packaging, even improve the customer experience. Is your Geomet Connected?

Keeping you up-to-date with the latest changes and product support has never been easier. Geomet links directly to our product support site, iGeomet.com. Through this connection you have access to context links that navigate directly to a help page based on the current action inside Geomet. Are you measuring a Circle and need assistance? Just hit the <F1> key and Geomet will locate the help pages for the Circle and take you there.

Accessing help pages is just one way Geomet keeps you connected. When you need support, our Application Engineers can connect directly to you CMM through our GeoConnect service. By connecting, we can perform tests, make system changes and work directly with you on inspection techniques. We will see what you see and we can even press the buttons, access the menus as if we were standing by your side.

If you are not connected, do so today.

With the release of Version 7,
we have added the Ellipse feature to our feature measurement suite. Visit the Ellipse help pages for a description of this new feature.
